KGC’s consulting team in Scottsdale provides outsourced accounting and financial reporting services to various clients. We are seeking qualified candidates to serve in a Senior Consultant position with our firm.  We perform full-scale accounting services for many entities, primarily within the renewable energy space.

  • Executing monthly, quarterly and annual close processes for multiple distinct entities with individual general ledgers each month
  • Analyzing and recording income statement, balance sheet and equity transactions for equity-financed and/or leveraged entities
  • Compiling quarterly unaudited and annual audited financial statements and footnotes in accordance with applicable compliance reporting requirements, including calculation of debt covenant ratios
  • Researching technical accounting and reporting matters and appropriately applying to complex transactions, drafting position papers/memos to support accounting positions
  • Onboarding new deals into the general ledger, ensuring entity structure conforms to terms per partnership agreements
  • Collaborating with and responding to ad hoc requests from client management and internal accounting individuals
  • Coordinating with client asset management teams to explain impacts of GAAP reporting requirements on financial results
  • Assisting with the annual audit process, compiling financial statements and providing data requests to external auditors (including substantial support for audit selections)
  • Supporting clients with other requests as necessary


  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting and CPA Licensure Required (or CPA Eligible with at least 2-parts passed)
  • At least 2 years of recent audit experience with a Big 4 accounting firm (or national firm), or equivalent experience in corporate accounting
  • Must be IT proficient and comfortable with using technology
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Working knowledge of US GAAP and internal controls is required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage well through ambiguity, chaos and complexity
  • Ability to execute and follow-through to completion and documentation (self-motivated and accountable)
  • Exceptional problem solving, analytical, listening, written and oral communication skills
  • Effective presentation skills across a range of audiences (one on one, executive teams and peers)
